You know what I mentioned? Funny heroines. Not the clumsy, tripping-over-nothing, coffee-spilling caricature we often see in rom-coms. I’m talking about legit hilarious heroines. I want dry-witted, sarcastically funny leading ladies who drop zingers and one-liners that have you laughing out loud.
Thing is, while I’m sitting here with my thinking cap on, I can’t think of a single heroine who fits that bill. But I know they’re out there, hiding in the pages of books. So, if you’ve got any recs, spill the beans in the comments. And authors, if you’ve penned a heroine like that, drop the deets.

January 2025 update: I found two books that made me laugh out loud while reading them. Jamaal the IT Guy by Kasha Thompson and Curvy Girl Summer by Danielle Allen.
